Just how aggressive can they get? I'm not sure I even have a pair that will breed, have to look up how to sex them. Obviously if they are both male or female I'll have no aggression issues. But lets say they can breed.

Would they take out 2 Ctenopoma Acutirostre ( easily the same size if not bigger then the angels, 2 Birchirs that are about 7 inches long, 2 clown loaches thats are 5 and 6 inches. I'd trade my Hybrid rainbows in and keep the angels if its possible.

I got the Angels when I bought an OS 30 gallon tank. The plan was to just give them all to the LFS and put my Cons in the 30 gallon. I had them in a 20 long but decided to move my goldfish to it and the Cons are ina 15 which is way to small, didn't stop them from having another batch though ( they couldn't wait a few more days).

From my experience, I've never had paired angels go after anything other than angels but I wouldn't discount it entirely from happening. I would think it was individual based.

My experience tends to agree with DD. They can be harsh on one another, but tend to leave others alone.

Good deal, now to convince my wife. She thinks they are boring. I tried to explain to her they won't do much in a QT tank that in a planted tank they should be a bit more active.

I don't really like the color variant, maybe I'll try to trade for a different variety. These look like Calicos.

My angel (I only have 1) was very timid and shy when I first got it. Now it's the boss of the tank. It ate the most recent batch of platies and I mean my angel was FAT. I think it got every last one of them. And since then, it's gotten pretty snippy at other fish. Chases and nips the smaller platy fry from an earlier batch and even pushes my momma platy out her way and chases her off. At feeding time the angel fish gets really rough and is soooo greedy. I didn't think anything could be greedier than my platies! And to think, this Angel fish had been so picky and timid at first lol.

I have one Marble Angelfish in a community tank (including molleys, platys, danios, tetras, gourmis). It's still fairly young...maybe 1.5". It has not shown any aggression toward any other fish...yet.
