Angelfish

My family has kept angles for 25 years, in tanks as small as 20 longs (breeding) and they have NEVER killed each other.

just because you do something doesn't means its right. It might work it might not, as I said they are cichlids and can be mean and aggressive.

who ever in your family is doing tank mantainence is watching for aggression, doing water changes and just keeping on top of the mantainence, right?

Do the angels grow up in the 20 (6 or so) till a pair is formed? or are two adults put into a 20L to form a pair? Do they live in the 20L for their entire life? or do they just do their buiness and then are removed? not much room, hight wise for a tall angel.

I agree with N8, a 20 gallon is too small for 2 adult Angels and is really pushing it for 1 even.... especially if the said tank is long rather than tall. If the 2 fish are in the store and are getting along well, there is no guarantee that it will work if moved to your tank. The parameters will be different and their instincts willl pick up in fighting for the territory.

angels are agressive toward each others naturaly especially wen breeding get biges tank you can buy and good luck

I agree, a 46 gallon isn't big enough for two angels let alone a 20 gallon. My pair spends one week of every 3 weeks beating each other up until they spawn and then spend 1 week of the 3 healing their fins. If my tank were a 20 gallon the female would have died for sure a long time ago from sexual harassment =)
