Angels acting strange

Since I moved my angel pair over to the 29G all 3 angels have been acting strange. The pair are hding a lot more than they did, and while still eating do not eat as fiercly as they did. Is this most likely just them being in new surroundings and not yet being used to them? At the moment I don't have a lot of structure in there, 2 tall plants and a couple of clay pots. Will more plants help to make them feel more secure in their new surroundings?

Also, and more worrying, the 3rd angel is acting odd. The only word I can use to describe it is flashing, but he is not really flashing against things. For example I see him going up and down the side of the tank with his face/mouth to the glass. He sometimes will randomly swim erratically behind a few things. His fins are not clamped or anything, and he is breathing normally. He has always had a damaged fin, but on his other fin there is a small white fluffy looking area, I think caused from fighting with the other angels before they were moved. I have Melafix, but don't know if I need it at this point (or if I can use it with corys in the tank).

Any advice? I am going to check ammonia/nitrite/nitrate in a few minutes and am happy with changing water as often as needed. Its strange, he acts fine 90% of the time, its almost like he is lonely/bored now that the other angels have moved out (when they were not fighting the 3 would hang out together, especially when the lights were out or it was WC time).

The tetras in the tank are looking much better after fighting off ich, which I guess could be part of whats causing the angel problems. Its been about 7 days since I started ich treatment. He does not have any white salt looking spots like the tetras have though. Either way, I am worried as he is the biggest angel and the whole point in my getting a 29G for the pair was because I did not want any of the 3 I have to kill each other.

Thanks.

it's not uncommon for fish to behave out of the ordinary when moved to new surroundings.

give them a few days to acclimate to the new tank.
also you should not have issues with cycling as you still have a current running tank..correct?
if you do there is all the bio media you need to seed the new tank . you should only see a mini cycle.. properly done a new tank can be seeded in 3-5 days.
can you explain the ich...were the angels exposed to the infected fish?

I half keep thinking it is the new surroundings, and hope that it is. I do have a current tank running and took a spare sponge from that tank and put it into the new tank.

The angels were exposed to the infected fish, I treated with salt/heat and still have the temp up in the low 80's. During treatment the angels did not show any symptoms, the only external signs on them are damage from them fighting.

Presuming your parameters check out ok, I would say they are just settling in.

Ok, just tested both tanks with the API kit. 55G has 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 10 nitrates. The 29G has 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 5 or less nitrates (its darker than the 0 mark, but not quite 5) which makes sense since the tank has only been set up since Saturday. Hopefully though the nitrate reading is a sign that it has cycled and nitrates are just building up.

let them settle in.
took mine all weekend when I reintroduced a female out of hosp after 4weeks.

she is still timid but starting to look for the male( a less aggressive male tank mate)
