Angels and Tetras

Myself I recomment the Bio-Spira. If you have the extra money and can find it in your area it is great. Fishless takes a while to complete the cycle. Bio-Spira technically says fish safe within 48 hours. I still would give it at least a week and test the water, for Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrates, prior to getting the inhabitants but this is much better then the wait of Fishless Cycling.

Just my opinion,
Curtis

Buy young angels. By the time your angels are big enough to eat anything tetra size, they'll be too big. I have adult angels in with cardinal tetras. They don't eat them. They were raised iwth them and don't even really chase them. I have rummy nose too, they swim in the tightest school out of any tetra I know of. Thye also school with the cardinals. thye get 2" or slightly more and are too big for angels. Both rummy nose and cardinal tetras live with angels in the wild. Thye all like higher temps. Cardinals and rummy nose need to be acclimated slowly when you first buy them. after that they are much hardier than neons.

My Angels are roughly 4 months old and i don't think a tetra would fit in their mouth. The danios i have are adults and around 2" in sizr so that give me a good idea - thank you

I really like rummy nose but they I have not seen them in my local area.
I normally acclimatise fish over a 1 hour period - 20 mins of just sitting in their bag and then the next 40 mins with some of my tank water being mixed into the bag every 10 mins
will that be ok for them or should i go for a longer time?? - i worry about ammonia levels in the bag as it must be pretty stresful for the fish
