Angels layed eggs

Yep, here's another thread on it. Woke up yesterday and one of the leaves on my amazon sword is covered in eggs. Papa's guarding it nonstop, won't even let mom come near it. What should I do? Tankmates are cories, platys, and a bala shark. I know there's a large chance that they will just eat the eggs, but is there anything I can do really?

No, I think you should just let Mother Nature do her thing. The tank mate that concerns me the most is the Bala Shark. Even if the eggs were the hatch, I would think the Bala Shark would be predatory for a nice protein-rich meal. If this is their first spawn, they may eat the eggs anyway. The process of successfully raising young is a trial and error kind of deal. Good luck though and keep us posted.

if you really want to hatch them out.
move them to a 10 gal with airstone.

remove the leaf .. place airstone under the leaf and let hatch out.
fungus inhibitors can be used (methelyne blue or hydrogen peroxide)but should be stopped as the eggs near hatching(3 days)

viable eggs should be slightly yellowish..white eggs were not fertile

btw, the corys will eventually eat the eggs.
