I have a 45 gal tank with several large angels & a couple of silver dollars. My girl friend was at a wedging shower over the weekend & she came home with one of the center pieces from one of the tables. It’s a small bowl with some type of floating plant on top & large gravel on the bottom & a male betta inside. I would like to put it in with the angles, But I’m not sure if it could bother the angles? I’m not to worried about the angles bothering the betta because theirs a lot of plants that the betta could hide in.

I would be much more concerned about the silver dollars, some of them can actually get quite predatory as they age. The betta will probably leave the angels alone provided the angels leave him alone. A 45 gal really isn't the ideal habitat for those silver dollars though, especially not with the angels in there.

Thanks NatakuTseng!

The 4 angels have been in there about 5 years now & have pretty much taken control of the tank. I only have two silver dollars & they seem to just bother the live plants. I think I’m going to give it a try and see what happens. I was more worried about the betta possibly nipping at the angles fins!

Hey dwall i think i saw you at that richmond pet shop, You were curiouse if a betta would work with your angels cause your son wanted one? But instead he got a guppy

Angels

I have a betta in my 210G with 3 approx 4.5" Angels. They get along fine for me. The Angels are pretty agressive eaters so it sometimes can be tricky getting food to the Betta but it seems to be working out well. No aggression.

you may want to keep an eye on the angels and see if they nip at the bettas fins

Nope not me!
I'm in Warren 696 & Hoover area.

Well he's in there now!
Doesn't seem to be any trouble yet! I'm sure the betta likes it a lot better than that little bowl :D
