I noticed that one of my angels has breathing quickly, then i took a closer look and i noticed that the top part of his mouth was missing. can anyone suggest any treatment? remedy? will it grow back? i feel soo bad. Thanks in advance

Is it an open wound, or something scarred and healed up? If it is already healed there is little if nothing you can do. If it is still fresh, it may grow back a bit, but I doubt it will be the same. I obviously can't tell haw bad it is, but I hope this will make you feel a little better: Out fishing a few years ago my brother cought a trout about 8" long. During the fight it tore a part of its lower lip. We released it and hoped it would live. about a year ago I cought a trout a bit bigger, but with a scar on its lower lip. No proof for sure it was the same fish, but it does prove fish can live with mouth problems, even in the wild.

Hi
I'm from the UK, when my fish have an injury I put aquarium salt into the tank to help with the healing process. I swear by it, for minor ailments or even when I introduce new fish into one of my tanks.

Im just afraid it wont eat becasue its lip is missing, i havent seen him eat in a couple of days now, so im just worried about that :(
