Anna Nicole Smith is dead...

Lavaleggs is kinda right. It's messed up to laugh when someone dies, no matter who it is, or how much we hate them.

And sure, Anna Nicole was a ditzy blonde and not alot of people liked her, but have atleas SOME respect for the poor woman. She had a really messed up life, which may have been her fault, but come on.

exactly. she wasn't a bad person at all, she just had a extremely stressed out life and had lost the son who was her entire world. she was a broken person, and probably died of a broken heart.

The only thing I have to say is Big Whoop. How does this affect any of us? The only reason that their's even any coverage about this petty ordeal is the fact that she is good looking. I bet any of you a Million dollars, (yes I mean a million dollars) that there are many cases like this that occur worldwide that never get one mention. God dang it... this celebrity crud really gets on my nerves. I am sorry if anyone finds what I say offensive but I quite frankly get sick of being barraged by this stuff. You know? It's just to much for me.

I can see what you mean, but I think most people on here aren't caring because she's a celebrity, I think we care because we are in general compassionate people and feel sorry for her hardships. The only reason we know more about her than just some average lady is the press/media...it's just that the average "Jane Doe" doesn't get press coverage the same way a famous person does. If the story was brought up on a news channel about a random "Jane Doe" who was an ex-painkiller addict, lost her son who helped her through rehab, was leaving a 5 month old daughter in a custody battle, was in a career she loved, and died mysteriously just as she was getting her life in order, we'd feel just as sorry for her and wish her peace wherever she is...

Unless if I am getting your point wrong I say that what makes her any more worthy of mention than someone else?

I think it is a sad thing, and its right to be upset. I noticed how some of you people are saying who cares cause there are so many people who die every day. If they got huge publicity about it would you not be sad about that? Just becasue she was famous isnt a reason to not be sad. You should take the same amount of consideration for her family as you would if you heard about someone else dieing, and react the same way for people who are not famous

Oh, maybe the fact that she's FAMOUS....it's news. Unfortunately, Jane Doe, John Doe, Jerry Doe, Frank Doe, and Henrietta Doe die everyday and plenty of people care.... the media is just reporting her death, not asking anyone to care. Maybe you could contact your local cable company and get a show on local access where someone sits and reads the obituaries of all the non-famous folks who've died and were snubbed by the mainstream media.

That's not my point. The point is that the media is too obsessive and goes into people's personal lives to much. I also think that there are things more worthy of getting attention than Anna's death. I think that if the media would stop sticking it's fingers in everyone pie it would save a lot of grief.

But according to the media, if they stayed away, there wouldn't be any news. And it's not just celebrities...look at the guy who saved the man in the NY subway...do you think he did it just be on camera and to be invited to the State of the Union address? No, he did it to save a man's life and the media jumped on it like the pirhana they are...he was big news, someone famous dying is big news, someone getting eloped is big news. That guy didn't choose to be a media darlin', it was pushed on him.

Unfortunately neither you nor I can put any amount of influence on the media, and neither can celebrities. Look at how many lawsuits against the paparazzi there are each year by famous people just seeking a little privacy...it's ridiculous.

It isn't a question of worthiness. It is a fact that many knew of her and are commenting on it, that's all.
