So one of my labs has been pacing the tank back and forth for prolly a week now. I posted in the general section and everyone seemed to think it was just bored... Either way its annoying the crap out of me lol. Does anyone know why they really pace or how to fix it?

Hmmm... aggressive Lab. Did you purchase these Mbuna from a " mixed African " tank? Fish from these tanks are often mixed species. A fish that resembles a Lab may have the personality of a Kenyi. If this is the case it may take you a bit of trial and error to find the right mix of fish.

Labs want to be with other labs preferred to a colony 1 male and 4 females he is searching for his own kind one thing about Africans they want to breed and is a hardwired program that these fish have installed into their program of life pass on the prodigy..

Without this you may get a Lab that is totally content or spastic in life and is why you see rogue Labs from time to time..

Just my opinion..

Hmm both greater answers. He could be a hybrid i guess he does have very very very light vertical strips on him you can only see sometimes and for lack of another way to explain it, he looks dirty lol.

Also he does have a yellow lab friend in there with him :/ but not 3/4 like I had planned originally.

Could be fouled genetics as well these guys are over bred
