Let me start off by saying thank you all for being so helpful and holding my hand through this whole process.

I'm doing a fishless cycle on a 20 gallon since March 16. I'm getting close to the end, I think, because for the last 2 days I've been adding ammonia to bump it up to 5 and in the morning it is 0.
Nitrites were at 5 on Wednesday and today they're at 2. I added ammonia again to continue to feed the nitrites this morning since ammonia tested 0. I hope that's what I was supposed to do.

Will the nitrites fall to 0 if I continue to add ammonia or do I just let it sit another day or two without adding any ammonia?
Once I see both at 0 for a couple of days I'm ready for fish, right?

yes, keep adding the ammonia, you are almost there! You will be there once the ammonia and nitrites are at 0 consistantly and your nitates are showing numbers. When this is stable, do a large water change and add fish :)
