Another horrible story beyond comprehension

There is nothing serious going on...just mean intentional stuff to get a rise out of someone and a seeming lack of caring about other's feelings. It's a very stable home with very conscious parenting going on....which is why I asked if you think some people are just born this way.

I am a very cautious parent with my children. I am amazed at the liberties that some parents give their very small children with no supervision.....I'd never make the same decision.

I have a friend who treats at a state correctional facility and she says the same thing, Reframer. She told me that although she hoped that her treatment and the rehabilitation these guys ( she works at a mens prison I am sure there are some for females as well) did some good the sad fact was that most of the men she treats were repeat offenders and highly likely to offend again with increased violence.

I am definately not referring to the case of the 18 yr old girlfriend/boyfriend having consentual sex with a 16 yr old partner ( or whatever the age laws are in your state) those cases are a travesty in my opinion.

Oh god, you know this guy had a parole officer that somehow missed the fact he had tents in his yard with abducted child. And a neighbor had reported suspicions, but yet the deputy investigating it did not find anything. What the... the state did admit "we are beating ourselves up over this"
I do think sex offender treatment should continue, just that I can't do it now with having 3 young kids and all. These stories upset me more than before. We just need to stop letting these guys out because I don't think they can ever be cured in most cases (involving minors that is). Pedophiles are probably the least likely to rehab and the most likely to commit violent acts.
