Make sure your fish are Ok with salt, many fish in todays hobby by adding salt to the tank will kill them.

That's sure not been my experience.
Salt is the mildest thing you can treat ICH with. To add meds just adds additional stress to the fish. Meds=stress, even if given with intent to help.
Please read Daveedka's ICH article. It addresses this. The salt you are adding for the length of time to treat the disease is not going to harm the fish. I had some plant issues, but they rebounded after the salt treatment is over.
And you can use regular table salt.

Ich is very serious! I had a 20 gall..with beautiful healthy fish running for a year..they all got ich..i didn't know how to cure it..it passed on and everything died!

but now i know, use the heat and salt method! Works every time like a charm!
