Too much light without providing enough CO2 to satisfy your plants demands will "stunt" their growth....algae will thrive.

and just changed out the actinic for the regular freshwater bulb.

Go to dr fosters and other that same strip there. They should have the new version of the light where each lamp has its own reflector.
And order the freshwater light so you dont have to spend another $15-20 for another bulb

I have the nova extreme light actually and its pretty good. The light is slightly pinkish, lets hope it will be able to keep up with my ahsupply kit
