Another newbie from Chicago

Hi All. Greetings from Chicago.

Grandma wanted to do something special for the family this Christmas, so she bought our household a 55 gal tank last week. Before I was born some 45 years ago she and my dad used to breed all different freshwater and saltwater. She quite shortly after i put my hand into the piranha tank. I've dabbled with small tanks over the years, but, this time we are dedicating ourselves to a Discus tank. I'm sure I'll be looking to you for some guidance!

Got the substrate down(from aquariumplants.com) and 13 zebra danios to cycle. PH 7, ammonia 0.4
$100 worth of plants coming Tuesday.
