I was thinking of making another post, but i guess ill just add onto this one. My other balloon molly passed away (sucks, he was awsome, and internal parasites suck). So now i just have 1 cory cat and 3 ghot shrimp in my tank. Heres my dilema:
I would eventually like to stock my tank as i described above, but im not sure what my next move should be. Like i said, the molly died of what im guessing was a bacterial/internal parasite (he stopped eating, got cloudy white bumps and red streaks/redness in his eyes). Are these contagious? should i be worried about my cory or my shrimp? they seem fine, and ive been keeping my levels safe. I have found my permenant source of water (regular city tap water) and im using that now.
My tank isnt cycled all the way (i dont think so at least) although tis been running for over 10 weeks ( i had some problems along the way). So basically, if you were me, what would YOU do in this position? Should i add another fish to compensate for the one that died (like getting the other cory cats), and ride the cycle out, or just stick with the cory and shrimp and ride the cycle out? If its possible i want to end up with the tank described in my first post on this thread.
thanks guys
