At 1", they really are cute. I bought one that unfortunately died the next day. It was really sad. I exchanged him (I hate talking about fish like they're products) for an adult one who is doing quite well. I was really looking forward to watching the small one grow.
Mine doesn't clean a lick of algae, really, (I guess I don't need him too, either), and he likes to knock newly planted plants out of the gravel, too. I love him just the same, though.
