Another stocking questions

I have a 29 gallon tank with 10 rasbora espei, 6 kuhli loaches and 1 male betta. There is drift wood, plants, and black sand. The temp is 77F. The filter is an Eclipse 3 hood. Weekly 25% water changes. Is my tank full? If not, what should I add? I would like a mid dweller of some sort, a small pleco, or some cories (not all of the above). Would any of those work?

How long have you had the tank set up Rebecca? I am just wondering about the bio load on your filter. Assuming all the water perameters are ok, you need to calculate the finished growth size of the fish you already have.

Once you have established how many gallons of water the tank holds, after accounting for the decor and the substrate, that will tell you how many inches of fish your tank can take. 1 gallon of water is needed for each inch of fish. Mature tanks can take slightly more.

Forgive me if you already know this.

Anyway, if you have any room left, how about some harlequin tetras. They do not grow much over an inch and are mid swimmers and have great character.
 
If you have good filtration, live plants and do water changes often, then you should not have any problems if you overstock your tank a little. Just make sure you buy fish that dont get too big.
 
Finally, someone else with rasbora espei, I love em. 4 or 5 of the smaller cories would go great in your tank. My favs are pandas, they're active during the day so you get to see them and they won't get big enough to overload your tank, plus they keep the bottom clean. They don't bother anyone, just scoot around the tank like an army scouting out goodies.
 
I bought my first 4 espei thinking they were harlequins... now I have 9 epsei with 1 stray harlequin, they are great! The tank has only been set up for 2 months but 1/2 of the bottom came from an established tank, as did the biowheel and filter material (and some of the plants). It never went through a mini cycle, even when I added the kuhli loaches because the bio filtration came from a larger tank with more fish.
