Another tank restoration thread.

Okay I went and did a little shopping for the project

New 1 1/2" bulkheads
Lots of 1 1/2" pvc fittings and pipe.
An Ecoplus pump that pushes 1056 gph
and a new drill (my dewalt needed a new battery and the battery was $$$)

A few pictures from todays progress.

Well guys I found the worlds greatest hardware store that carried the weld on and the novus. I buffed patched and buffed some more until I could see myself in the acrylic. The deeper scratches will be there no matter what I do but the tank looks 98% better. I finished the plumbing and all thats left to do is add some structure for the sump and some media and stash the tank behind the sofa as a backdrop (wifes idea) I'm beat and did I mention it has snowed 7 inches whilst I was at this today?

Thank you sir. It's really noisy though, the drains slurp like crazy and the "waterfall" is insane.

Nice. The previous owner drilled the FRONT of the tank:swear: But I'll just have to make due.

I now have to drain the whole system, silicone in the sump sections and move the entire tank to it's final place.

Finished Product!!!:dance::dance::dance:
