I was cleaning the mass grave yard of snails and taking all the rock out. I put the fish in two different 5 gallon buckets. Kuhli's split and the Rasboras and danio's as well. The clown loach and the rainbow shark sperated. Well during the catch and release part of the deal the clown loach tries to rocket out the top, so I gently set a lid on it. Well after moving the tank to another room and changing substrate, I took a break for dinner...after I came back I found my 5" rainbow shark on the floor, completely dried out. I loved that shark, he was to.be my center piece fish for my 75 when it was ready.

:cry:I am sorry for your loss :(

What is really weird is I have had fish die before and it didn't really bother me, this one really does. I know it was caused by my negligence...I should have found the lid for the second bucket but I didn't.

His name was dunnadunna, he was easily the coolest fish i have kept so far. I guess it is for the best, I was finding it very hard to find info on what other fish are compatible.

It just really sucks and I am mad with myself.

bummer, dude...lessons we all, sadly, have to learn :(
