yeah title says it all. I advised my dad that anthelia and pulsing xenia will over power the tank and he defended himself with nothing grows that fast in our tank. now more then75% of the tank is covered :yuck:. How can i get get rid of them?
well uhm...this is ALOT of anthelia...like it is covering all the live rock in the tank...it's a 75 gallon tank. i wish i could ship them but i'm just a kid and have no clue about shipping and none the less shipping corals.
Here is a good general guide for shipping. when I ship, just double bag the piece with a good amount of water and some air in the bag. then box, insulate with packing peanuts or newspaper, and ship. not much to it really. Also the slowest method I used is priority (or first class when it's no longer than 3 days)
and **** thats a lot of anthelia, you could just pull it out but it'd be a shame. could also sell/give to your LFS or locally. If you do decide to try shipping, i'd gladly accept a small frag (and pay for shipping of course)
i'll post pics if i can later. My lfs doesnt even give me credit for the anthelia and i dont really like them so i kinda refuse to help them get money lol. could i just do a no light treatment or something? its just way to much its become a pest.
shutting off the lights to kill them would bomb your tank, and kill off your other coral and maybe even fish. you'd be better off drying out selected rocks out of your tank or scrubbing them. Do try to sell them or give them away locally, just post a listing here and on craigslist, i'm sure someone will take em for free.
