Yes, new shoots are growing through. The plant isn't a 'seedling', it's pretty mature as I bought it with the driftwood (it was already grown onto it). The yellow leaf is one of the biggest on the plant.. So I guess it could be an old leaf.
she's saying the oldest leaf is turning yellow. I would just cut it off. That also frees up resources to feed the newer leaves
by the way, yellowing of older leaves is a sign of nitrogen or phosphorus deficiency. you may want to consider dosing some nitrates and a little phosphates.
you're most welcome! The older Anubias leaves definitely need to be pruned off once awhile. Otherwise, they tend to grow hair and beard algae, too. It's the curse of the extremely slow-growing plants. I love Anubias, though. They're lovely
Not a fantastic photo, but I took it when I first got my tank (no fish in there at the time). The tallest leaf in the middle (the one near the filter) is the one that's gone yellow.
