I made a cedar/glass canoe about 15 years ago. I used it for years in Northern Ontario untill I gave it to guy that worked for me. By then it needed some work.

You made it? That's really nice! Have you replaced it at all?

I had three canoes at the time. I still have an alumimum 16'. Doesn't compare to the one I built though. 16'-2" length, 38" beam, 62lbs. Haven't had much time to do any paddling in the last 4 years but hopefully I will in the future. I would love to build another one some day.
