Im going to have to mae a trip to Aquarim Adventure in Bollingbrook I think which is ok I love the store but is there anywhere around dekalb or kane county to find africans including syndontis cats??? All I really get is the petco or petsmart with assorted africans no thanx...

You might want to venture near Chicago in all i hear there are nice pet shops there but then again i don't know how close you are to Chicago..
There is a place by the name of Sea Escapes, I think it is located in So. Elgin. They had beautiful reef setups there, but they had fresh water as well as salt. I had a friend who had her salt water tank serviced by them, they do maintanance on tanks, even install them. I don't get that way to often anymore, but it probably would be worth you giving them a call and see if they have what you are looking for before you go, or see if they do ordering? I don't know if they would or not, but it's worth a try. Their place was awesome!
