Any idea on what type of Amazon sword this is?

I apologize in advance if the pic isn't detailed enough, but it's at the back of the tank behind several other objects so it was the best I could get.

I've had this AS for about a few months now. Put a multiple root tabs around it as I've heard they are nutrient hogs and it's growing fine as you can see with all the new leaves, but why is it so low? Was expecting a little more height by now but it seems content to be more of a bush than the tall, centerpiece background plant I was hoping for. So is it a specific kind of AS that grows lower or does it just need more time?

I'm not gonna say bleherai, even if it is, Heiko would insist it go into a biotope.

The leaves look an ok shape to me,normally I think more rounded is for emersed growth.

What I would do would be to pull up the leaves so the crown is not buried,I would also be sure to get some good complete fertilization to the roots, if you won't DIY root tabs, I would invest in some thrive or Tropica capsules (API or Seachem root tabs don't really contain all the macro nutrients needed)

I would maybe think about your light, and unless the tank is a 2 foot deep one, I would be expecting it to outgrow the tank

Already pulled it up so the crown was above the surface (same for my crypts as I've come to find out). Have been using Seachem Flourish tabs and the lights are two Hygger 25w full spectrum LEDs.

You really should switch to root tabs that have NPK in them, at least tons decent amount.

The lighting may be ok... Depending how deep your aquarium is.

It's 21" deep, but with the substrate the plants are more like 18" deep at the base.

I ironically do have Thrive, but in liquid form (so it likely won't be of much use to plants rooted in the ground, but my Java ferns have been going crazy). When my current bag of tabs runs out I'll switch to Thrive tabs.

Just look at the difference between the ingredients for thrive vs. flourish root tabs.

You should be good with the light just see how it goes.

I agree w/dougal...Seachem root tabs have mostly micros, not much in the way of macro ferts...if that's what your plants need...& IME that's likely what they'd like...if you can only choose 1 fertilizer tab...you can do both...
