imo it would be better to "pin" the wood together rather than try and glue it permanently. there WILL come a time when you say "i wish i could rearrange that wood" and then it'll be a pain in the butt. it might be possible, depending on what type of would you have, to make a non-permanent yet stable structure by drilling holes in the wood and using pegs.
