Can i use mosses off trees? I have seen some nice ones and they are used to damp seeing i live in Vancouver bc

If i can how do i treat them before adding to the tank

mosses on trees are used to damp but not submersible on the long term so i dont think that would work for you. There are some awsome mosses available for the fish tank. and im sure i have seen a few lots for sale on here. I know what u mean though, there are some great looking mosses out there. bummer huh

for some reason i have to doubt it...just like you can't put any old plants under water. some (most) terrestrial plants will die once submerged. so unless the moss is aquatic I'd expect it'd die too.

but i might be wrong...not a botanist :headshake2:
