was wondering if anyone breeds half moon or similar not so common bettas?
and what colors you have,..
one lfs here has a few nice colored one but i'm sure ones that are culls from a good breeder,.
but they want a arm and leg for them,..
and hard to find the colors i like,..
if you have any for sale or might in the future post a few pics,..

I have a breeder close to me, he sells them at all the auctions near here. Males and females. Red. I have a nice blue male with white edging. High quality. I attempted breeding him, but the female tore him up. I am waiting for him to heal, and conditioning a new female for breeding.
I have a petstore near me that buys them INDIVIDUALLY. They charge up to $20 per fish, but importing in quantity takes off the high tag. If you want, I can go and take pics if they have any currently. Your close enough to ship safely.
They have had gorgeous black plackets, and pearl white females. You name it, they have had it.

Also, Go to the Betta websites and read up on what makes a good quality betta. You can find them at petshops. Breeders get so many from one spawn that they just cant keep all of them. Of couse we are talking common colors. If you want exotic, those are really expensive.

i'm looking to replace this one,

this is his demise

and it seems the ones on aqua bid from usa, arn't a pretty or mutations of different colors,..
i would love to repalce him , my son loved him and was heart broke,..

if you could see what colors are out there i'd appreciate it

hm betta

Hard but not impossible to find. Mine is a more intense blue, and a whiter white to edging. The female took off the bottom finnage.

The female is a pearl/translucent. Since she has blue flects, and no body color, I think she is a good chice to bring out a brighter blue and keep edging. I also have a solid blue full moon that is a blue with a green cast. I think his pic is in my album somewhere.
