any one run co2 in a canister filter???

I inject my pressurized CO2 directly into the intake of my XP2.
At first I had the BPS too high and got some bursts through the
spraybar.
I cut it back some and now runs fine.
No cloudy mist out of the spraybar and the CO2 controller/solenoid
shuts off the flow at 6.5 pH.
I’d been doing that previously with DIY CO2, but I went pressurized
almost a year ago.
Works for me.

No reason you can't run the gas straight to the canister, I have done it myself for a long time... The only issue I had, was that the canister would "burp" every four or five hours, releasing a big bubble of CO2 straight to the water surface, undissolved. I considered this pretty wasteful, so went and got a reactor.

You could also try an inline diffusor, such as the one made by UpAqua...have heard nothing but good reports on these and will be adding one to each of my tanks soon...

When that happens, I just lower the BPS a little.
