Any plant can float at the surface?

Ugh...what is with you people? Do you guys have magical java moss? Java moss does not float. And by float I mean at the surface of the water. You drop some moss in the water and it will float slowly down to the bottom, sit on the substrate, and possibly get pushed around by the current, thereafter. Maybe this is what you meant, but to someone who has never had it and doesn't know any better it sounds awful misleading.

Amazon frogbit is a nice floating plant, as is watter lettuce.

now now.. no need to chalk up other people's experiences as impossible because you never did it. :)

Oh blah blah blah with your magical moss....:silly: It doesn't float get over it...

Alright guys...didn't mean to start a heated (albeit in jest, I'm sure) debate over moss.

Thanks for the great suggestions.
If you'll let me indulge in a follow up question...I'll be a bit more specific.
Of those plants you've suggested above, what would be best in a lower light condition and provide a nice place/cover for my dwarf gouramis to hang out.
Now, the poor things hang out under a mis-match of plastic plants floating at the top.

I'm sure they'd like all of them.

floating

Indian Fern floats real nice, and spreads very quickly with trillions of baby plants coming from it!

If you got gouramis Amazon Frogbit would be good as it puts out some nice root structure if your gouramis decide to breed
