Any shrimp safe dwarf cichlids?

cichlids, and im having second thoughts about telling you to get a keyhole. how about adding neon tetra?

Neons are not a problem with shrimps but they aren't cichlids.lol

I tried both with no issues but yours could be different.

it seems pretty hit or miss, I am planning on getting some marble hatchets, and like 5 sterbai cory, they are safe right? And what should i get as a middle dweller if not an apisto or cichlid. Neons are kinda boring..

i say try GBR because there mouths are to small to eat shrimp IMO

I've got one red clawed shrimp in my community tank that includes 2.5" gourami's and multiple 2" or so loaches and red tail sharks. He has plant cover and a little hole dug out underneath one of my pieces of driftwood where he hangs out during the day. He's now brave enough to come out and roam at night as well as come and grab a flake or two in the morning when I feed them. He's about an 1-1 1/2" long himself though. I've actually seen him raise his claws to the gourami's before if they got too close.

I had GBR once, and they didn't eat the shrimp, they just pestered them to death. It might be worth a try if you have a back up plan.
