This discus breeding site mentions hardness levels but not pH (unless I missed it). Maybe you could email them and get more info.

Have you tried candles and a Kenny G album?
Seriously though, are you trying to find the tap PH or the PH of some local water hole? Can you contact your supplier to find out what they were kept in? Or possibly a call to their municiple water agency? Might cost you a bit for the phone call, and youd have to learn how to say "do you speak english" in thai.

Ok, problem is officially SOLVED...THANK THE FISH GODS! For some reason my tap water has gone from 7.8 to frigging 8.4!!!! I have been having a heck of a time with some of my latest imports...Anywho, i cut the water 75% with RO and the male was blowing bubbles within the hour...They started spawning about an hour ago now Whew!
