Anybody try Hikari Shrimp Cuisine yet?

Yeah... Me too. It sucks because they're so expensive. It would have been nice to be able to try it first.

My LFS has it but he didn't seem too thrilled with it, he told me that he doesn't use it w/ his shrimp.

Isn't copper sulfate the cheapest form of copper? Aren't copper proteinate and other forms supposed to be better?

It's kind of funny that these foods designed for shrimp are expensive because shrimp is found in a lot of fish foods.

What are the ingredients and analysis for the Shirakura? I can't find that info anywhere.

I'll find out, I'm going to try some the Nismo Shrimp food later next week wich is cheaper for me. Right now my shrimp are on a combo diet of the hikari crab cuisine and the hikari corycat wafer.
As far as the copper sulfate, they're probably using it to also preserve the food for longer... maybe
Interesting that the main ingredients are listed in Shikura though will not say if it has other stuff in it. Although "natural minerals" and seaweed will probably have some copper in it too lol. Shikura also doesn't have much protien in it so I take it that the main protien is from spirulina

I'd be interested in a sample Bubbles did you call or write send an email to them?

I went to their web site after seeing an ad in the Tropical Fish Hobbyist (I think that was it). They provided a key word and then you have to print off the page and send it to them with a UPC code from the food you are using now. I'm pretty sure that is how it went--but my memory sux bad so I may have gotten some info wrong. Anyway--still waiting.............

Right now I use a variety of foods for all my shrimp and plecos. Everybody seems to like the Shirakira. Its killer IMO!!!!

Yeah, but which formula? Or all formulas?

And what I don't get about the Ebi Dama product is that they say that they're omnivores and need animal matter, yet Ebi Dama doesn't contain any. Why would they be using the description for the Ebi Dama to try to convince you to buy their Chi Ebi? Why the heck can't they just sell a formula that contains everything that they need in one freakin bag??
