Anyone else "on the edge"?

Last resort.... If you are without a job and have a lot of debt, file bankruptcy. With no job, you'll be wiped clean! Zero repayment, zero debt. Millions are doing it! Sorry to hear of your rough times!

Best wishes!

not highly suggested since filing bankruptcy kills your credit score for 7+ years. and we all know that a bad credit score from missing some bills is better than a terrible credit score.

Actually, you can rebuild your credit faster after a bankruptcy than you could after becoming seriously deliquent. This is best especially if you have a home at stake. Most credit card and credit agencies know that you cannot file bankruptcy again for at least 7 years. That being said, you can build your credit score back up in less time. It's an option, but I would not pursue it until you are out of options.

Best wishes!

Hope everything works out well for you real soon, Zig. Don't give up.. you'll get through this.

I feel your pain. I moved to Colorado last May and have been looking for law enforcement jobs and anything else and haven't found anything, so I may be moving pretty soon back to Iowa where I'm sure I'll find a farm job.

Security Guard, material handler, temp agencies, etc. there is a job out there if you are multi-talented. I lost my job several years ago due to downsizing and it took me over a year to find a new one. I managed even though it wasn't easy. I couldn't get the money I was used to but eventually I landed a choice job with the wages I asked for. I also used my skills and talents to work for myself.

Sometimes a kick in the gut can turn into a great opportunity. Just remain positive and keep looking.

Yeah, why not join a temp agency? If you don't have anything going on then you could probably work the strange hours no-one is available to work. I know it sucks but at least it would be something, plus the agency looks for jobs for you. I think I got sent to 3 different places before I landed my job at the current company they hired me on full time after 3 months.

We've all got it bad. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. It's alright to fall off the wagon but don't drag behind...jump back on and keep at it, sooner or later it will pay off in the end. We're all rooting for ya man!
