I was thinking that I would like to alter the output nozzle. I didn't know if anyone had made their own spray bar or other random types of output. I was even wondering what would hapen if I redirected the output into the UGF to make an altered RFUGF.

It probably doesn't make much sense to direct the canister output down under the UGF plates. The water will already be pretty low in oxygen, so you're not going to be helping out biofiltration in the gravel bed much. If you just wanted to diffuse the output, going under the UGF plates would be OK, but there are probably easier ways (e.g., connect the output to a length of hose or rigid tube along one wall of the tank, with lots of holes drilled at various angles).

I have an Eheim 2215 that I feed into a spraybar that's about 3' long, and there is very little current from it... the water dribbles out.

i made spraybars and stuff with pvc before but nothing like you ware trying to do

I'm planning on using some modular pipe for my Fluval 303's output. Right now, I'm just using a 1/2" PVC elbow. I replaced the hoses with PVC instead, because I hate how the hoses move around and never stay straight.

I have a 304 and drilled a bunch of small holes in the output nozzel it cut down on my current alot...........Give that a try first.
