Unfortunately, some foods really do produce a lot of gas. I changed dog food every 3 months until I found one that has good nutrition without making the dogs atrociously gassy. Personally, instead of buying some canned food, I'd just get a couple raw, cleaned shrimp and chop up for her. Costs about the same, and is much better for the cat.

I give our American Bobtail and our Pixiebob a can of sardines once in a while as a treat. We have 3 rough-coated collies as well: a blue merle and two tri-coloreds.

We also refuse to have Iams, Eukanuba (or ANYTHING else made by Hill's) in our house. Long story, dont want to go there. We only feed BARF or foods recommended by the Whole Dog Journal and we check those manufacturers to see if they make a quality cat food as well.

Our Pixiebob loves raw beef. He's silly that way :)

Be careful using canned foods (for human consumption) they usually have way too much sodium for cats and dogs. It's much better to buy fresh from the sea food section.

Oh, I know. I only give them garbage food maybe once a month.

Both cats drool when we take out Red Lobster. They get all the leftovers :)
