ok well do between 15 and 20 clowns then but be prepared to have more space as they all ight grow and over crowd the bottom of the tank heres what u could do then'
15-20 clowns
15 boosemani rainbows
5 red rainbows
1 golden wonder killi
and something as a centre peice im not sure though

for decor lots of plants and lots of spacious over hangs something that gives the loaches a dark hiding spot andcan fit them all in. make sure theres lots to they like lots of nooks and crannies to hide in

I am going to do about 40-50 clowns. I just want ideas on decor and pics. I am not looking for stocking advice sorry, I already know what I want. The 30 or so clowns that I have now will be the last of the small ones i buy, now its only 5"+ clowns that will go into the tank.

How many Aquaclears? For a tank that size and that kind of overstocking you should have something like 2 large cannisters + an AC + a powerhead or two for water movement.
*Ocean Clear, sorry, not aqua clear my bad. I do have an FX5 too but its broke, the motor is shot in it. SO as soon as I get my fx5 back that will be on there too. I have 2 large power heads too

excuse me clowns get 12+ inches big EACH!!! that would be very irresponsible on your part to buy 40 clown loaches! if you have 30 now stick with them but dont buy more! what kind of filtration do u have on this?

Show me 5 diffrent pics of a 12" clown loach, dude, i know more than you sorry. Your not helping me one bit, just please lay off your not going to change my mind. I have been keeping clowns for over 5 years now. You were still in pull-ups. I KNOW how big they get, I KNOW how long it takes. And trust me, if all 50+ make it to 12"+ you will see them for sale, no doubt about it. I will be happy if I see 1 of them make it to 12"

do me a favor, find me 5 diffrent pics of a 12"+ clown loach. Until then dont post here, your not helping. I am looking for people eaither with pics or ACTUAL experience not what they have read on here over the last week. I have had bigger tanks, bigger fish, more expensive fish than most people. Dont believe me? Chanllenge me, I have pics of "most" of the fish I have kept in the last 2 years. I have been a memeber of MFK for that long also. I am trying AC out for smaller fish, looks like I maybe going back to mfk.

Thanks

In case anyone has forgotten, clown loach get to about 12 inches in the wild. Some sources say larger. B. almorhae (yoyo's) do better in groups of 5+ IME - makes them less shy.

oops... didn't see the 2nd page. Ya... 1 clown loach. That or eat some of them as they grow out; Asians cook up loach all the time. I think I've got a recipe for khuli soup around here some where.
