anyone have anythign against hex tanks?

about to get a fully setup 30G Hex tank, for between 75-100$ (love craigslist.org).. has anyone had any experience? its about 20"tall and 24" from one pane to the other. Just wonderign what peoples opinions are.

They look nice, but because of the footprint stocking can be a hassle. IE..that 30g hex wouldn't be able to house nearly as much as a 30g standard.

good for tall fish or slow moving fish, but again there isnt alot of room for the stock.

i'm a big fan of regular old rectangular/square tanks, and nothing else. odd shapes do NOT appeal to me whatsoever.

There are a lot of seams to worry about and the surface area is very low compared to a standard tank. They are also hard to light if you want to go planted.

Stocking is a big hard, and when cleaning algae and looking through the glass, it gets confusing!

only hex tank that i've seen and liked was one that had seahorses. Seemes like a perfect thank for them.

Other than that, i love rectangles.
