Anyone have dreams about their tanks?

I've had tanks off and on for years but I don't remember having dreams about them, but last night I had a doozy about our 120 gallon we are in the process of fishless cycling.
In this nightmare, I've woken up to find that as a surprise my kids have added fish to my (uncycled)tank and I begin jumping up and down like my house is on fire yelling "It's not cycled yet, it's not cycled yet!! we have to get them out!!! and not only have they added fish, they WAY overstocked it and Im getting freezer bags tyring to scoop all these fish into their own bags....

For the first time, in the month since we set this tank up I woke up happy that there were no fish in there. :D

ODD Dream-

Well just a few weeks ago I had a dream that I was changing water in my 10g, and when I was done, I found a 1" rainbow shark, a .2" black lyretail molly, and 3 .5" platys in a tiny plastic container on my desk.
Then someone woke me up. :mad: :laugh:

I have fish dreams a lot, usually the night that I do a water change, and if I go to lfs that day...

The last one was a doozie... I had a huge tank (the whole length of my dining room, up to the cieling) and I was IN IT cleaning it - like the folks at the aquarium do. I had a bunch of pirranah in the tank, and was hand feeding them chicken breast. ODD

I also had a similar cycling dream a while back. I was cycling my 29 gallon tank (in my dream :) ) and came home from work to find it WAY overstocked with a HUGE school of about 1000 neon tetras!!!

I'm glad you made this thread, because I really need to talk about the crazy dreams I've had. I've never had a dream about my tanks, but I've had quite a few (at least 20) different dreams about other tanks. Most of them involve me finding a new fish store in some city that I'm visiting and they all have amazing stock.

My dreams also tend to be lucid, they all seem super realistic and I swear I can smell and feel the tanks and stuff. Here's a brief overview of some of the ones I can remember:

-I was at a lfs by my grams house and they had a pond with a dolphin in it and I walked around huge tanks with bags of fish (way too many) in my hands and basket.

-I was in San Francisco (I've only been there once) and I went to a fish breeding warehouse that had a SUPER high quality fish store in the warehouse next door. Amazing looking fish, very rare stock, every fish product you could want, and I felt dizzy just looking at everything.

-A weird exotic petstore (don't laugh) with aquatic monkeys...............(I have no idea about this one, they had chimpanzees that lived under water) and they specialized in deep sea ugly fish (the kind with huge teeth and mostly silver bodies. In the back was a huge warehouse with row after row of saltwater plants, fish, even lobsters. The corals looked amazing.


-I begged my parents to stop at a lfs by my grams house and took my lil bro in with me. The counter had several small tanks built into it with live plants, platies, and common fish in them.

-I was at a party in Orange County and the person had a really nice house with a weird room with two huge tanks facing each other. I found this room and just stared at them in darkness.

And there is way more dreams where that came from (guess I didn't keep it brief did I?). I know most of them don't mean anything, but I love these dreams because I get the same feeling I get when I'm in a fish store I've never been to before. I get dizy trying to look at all the fish tanks in detail, not wanting to miss a single inhabitant.

While I was fishless cycling my tank and exploring the rather fish storeless state of wisconsin for a good LFS. I had a dream that I found a really awsome store with everything I'd hope for in a LFS. Odd thing is I've had dreams about the store all my life. Weird huh? I also had a dream that for some reason I was sitting in my fish tank (29 gallon) and the bottom broke out of it! I was devistated because all I wanted to do was go for a swim or some thing. Now the ODDEST dream I've had is kind of hard to explain, I have a sleeping disorder called sleep paralisis (think the oposite of sleep walking). In other words I wake up and I'm still dreaming and paralized everywhere except my eyes, and I halucinate some pretty scary or odd things lol. So last week I woke up and had an episode of SP and I was looking at my tank (It's at the foot of my bed). All the fish were at the glass looking at me and talking about how they were going to kill me. Not the worst SP dream I've had but it was creepy enough for me to keep the light off in the tank for 2 days LOL. Well and remove any sharp objects from around the tank ermm and lock the gun cabnet and uh make the cat sleep in my room... Anyways...

i had a dream once......ok ive had a few dreams in my life anyways
in my dream i got a job at my local fish stop (ripples) and a old lady came in and said that she wants to give her tank away (a big 6ft tank) the shop had no were to put it so i took it home and set it my in my fish room (i dont have one!!!!!!!!!!!) it was like the whole of the back wall i set it up the works sand a 180 plant set (go to www.java-plants.com uk only)

the next day i go into work and buyed of the shop thousands of neons guppy eyc basicly a huge commuity tank.

i wake up go to school come home and find out that in my bedroom was a brand new tank 15g (now i have 2 tanks both 15g) so now im hoping that in wasnt a conindest and thatvhe was going to do it anyway and i cant wait till i have that same dream again.
 
I have a dream!

I had this dream once that I came upstairs to look at my tank and I noticed my mother had added a large oscar to it . After that I remember looking into my tank and watching all my fish get eaten by the thing!
 
Ok, now I read some strang ones, I do not feel bad, the only one i had is not that stange now that I read some of these, Well when I was getting out of the hobby about 1.5 years ago I had this dream that my tank was set up (oh ya It was back in my room in my parents place too) and all the fish I had ever had were there, and then some I did not reconize, the stange part was that they were not swiming in the tank, but swimming around the tank in the air, and they had some fur, and water was bad for them. I have no idea where this dream came from.
 
Yikes! That's scary - Here's a real-life version:
I was in my LFS a while back listening to a mother and her teenaged son argue loudly over the fish she wanted to buy - apparantly mom liked her community tank the way was and wanted to buy a few more swords to replace those she'd recently lost, but her son really wanted to add another oscar, because it was such fun watching the first one he'd added eat all her fish before it died! I ended up talking to the mother - we were both looking at the swords - and it turns out that he added the oscar to her tank while she was away for the week. What a little creep!

The dreams I've had about my tank are nightmares - I wake up and one of the cats is on top of or inside the tank, or I hear a smash and run into the room to find broken glass and water everywhere, that sort of thing. *Shudder*
