Anyone heard of this?

I was in my LFS talking to one of the guys that works their. He was very helpful in telling me what plants would work and not work. I told him I have in all gravel substrate and I did not want to replace it. He told me to buy this stuff called ROOT. It is made by a German company called Dupla. Has anyone ever heard of this? You just pour it in the tank and mix it into the gravel. Then he told me to add Flourish Excel whenever I do water changes. Do you think this guy was helpful?

The plants he told me to get were Java Fern, Hornwort, Java Moss, Watersprite, Crypts, Anubias, and Corkscrew.

adding flourish exel is a good idea but I've never heard of the other stuff.
what light do you have?

All I have is gravel for my substrate and extremly low lighting(30 watts over a 55g) and my plants are growing faster than the dandelions outside. Before spending the extra money try seeing what happens without it. I have yet to fertilize my plants either, but I too am considering buying some Flourish Excel. Good Luck with your plants.

My lighting is running at 38 watts. Can you think of any other plants I could add?
