anyone here with experince breeding rainbows

Rainbows breed in Killie mops. Why don't you ask Jake or Pete? Joe Vera also bred a lot of fish.

I love 'bows..have had quite a few over the years. I have Turq's, Boseman and Goyder River Trifaciatus right now. Good luck !!

Theres a bunch of guys from your area that are in the RFSG. Check out the aquarium societies in your area. I was a member of the Erie Aquarium Society for awhile and met some of these people at various functions. I liked to feed my bows black worms and globs of micro worms to prime them. I also fed flake, cocktail shrimp, bloodworms, and daphniaThen when I could see the females plumping up I'd do a massive water change of 70%. I was able to watch my M. Melotenaeia spawn a few times.
