Firebelly toads. Some questions.

1) Do they have to be fed crickets, or can they make do with mealworms, earthworms, shrimp etc (if possible I'd like to be able to keep them without having to get too near any insects. They scare me)
2) How big a tank would be needed for a pair or 3? Would a 12x8" tank be too small?
3) can any fish be kept with them without getting eaten? How about a betta?

Thanks for any help you can offer :)

1. When I had mine, I fed them crickets, but mealworms will probably do just fine as well.

2. I would probably go with at least a 20g bc they need land and water. Mine were almost always on the land part of their tanks. I will tell you that they are escape artists. They can climb glass and will get out of the tank if there are ANY openings they can fit through.

3. I would refrain from keeping any fish with them bc they will eat it if it fits in their mouths, and since they are toxic, this could cause stress to the fish. I did try to keep them with fish and all the fish died so.....
