Anyone know how to turn the volume off?

So, I've been trying to get some video shots of one of my tanks. Then add them to "media film maker" and add music and stuff. Every video I take has sound...I went into "tools" on the camera, and go to sound..move it to off and it says "mute" at the top. I take the videos, load them on the computer and THERE IS SOUND??? What do I do, to get the noise gone????
 
Well, it was suppose to be on mute...so I assume that there would be no sound, but when I upload it to the computer...it is still there?

So, how would you suggest I do it while recording???
 
I just wondered if your camera had a volume switch you could try? Apart from that i can't think of any thing else, sorry.

I don't see one anywhere? The only place I find volume is a picture of a speaker in the tool box thing, in menu. It has on and off...I put it on off and it says mute, but it isn't muted?? Then there is a volume for the controls (like the click when you take pic) I turned all those down all the way but that did nothing either?

Do you know if there is something to do once it is uploaded in the computer? I tried edit..but I see nothing for it there?

Silent...in MY house...HAHAHAHA!!! With 3 girls (4-6 & 9yos) my dog, and all the neighborhood kids running around..that is near impossible LMAO!!!

Hmmm, hitting it on a desk....well, maybe now:perv:
