Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

Definitely not a wolf spider... here's a pic of a wolf spider, living by my back door, that I took over the weekend.

Here's another one (that I didn't take) of a momma wolf spider out for a walk with her young 'uns. Kinda cute.

Aww, that's adorable.. I found a momma with her egg sack once, very protective of them, too.

I had to go through 2 surgeries (if you can call then that) where they scraped out all the dead crap. Talk about pain OMG. The place I still have is DEAD no feeling what-so-ever.

That must be the place right between the ears! LOL :rofl::rofl:

I also have had many an encounter with "Black Widows" and had never seen a brown one. I didn't even know they existed until now! Thanks for that biology(?) lessons!

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to freak anyone out. :( I kinda did announce in the thread title that it was a requested ID for a spider though... :\

Interesting to find out what it was, and I definitely agree that it was a Brown Widow. I wish I hadn't messed with the brightness of my LCD on my 40D, or I'd have gotten some brighter shots. (when I previewed them, they seemed well-exposed... but then, they look decent on my home monitor. The monitors I work with at work SUCK) I'll be darn sure to erradicate that thing if I ever see it again... just reading about what kind of injuries are sustained by their bites is more than enough for me. As it is, I already hated spiders... now I just have another reason to chase that one down with some Triazicide.

Awww... :(
Try getting her with a net/big bowl with top and taking her away from your house, they don't normally wander far from where you leave them.. I just hate killing something because it cannot help what it was born as, this life is all she has, remember that ;)
