Anyone know what this is!?

I think it could possibly be a baby shrimp. It was in my filter when I was cleaning it. I know the pictures bite, but its small and wouldnt stop flicking about.

They aren't good critters for a planted tank, they will eat anything green...

That's true, but if he has any fish in his tank they'll keep the scud population in check and will probably wipe out the whole lot (except those stuck in the filter, of course).
