Anyone know when Petco does the "dollar a gallon" sale?

In my experience it generally happens right after I fill my storage area with tanks I need to set up. lol
I believe the last one was in Jan or early Feb. I am so ready to get another one, but I'm quickly humbled by the rest of the costs and maintenance!
Everything I found in the forums (back to 2008 or so) indicated that the sale is on or about the last Sunday in August, usually only covers 20-55 gallon tanks (seems to vary by year), is only on what is in stock (get there early) and you must be a PALS member (can sign up online or in the store).
so far with the pals membership, depending on how much stuff you buy there, you'll get a 10% off entire purchase coupon every 3-6 months. I've gotten two and I've only been a member for 6 months. Oh, and I've only bought a few things there.
It is every 3 months and if you spend a lot there, your coupon will be 15%. its 10 points every $1, 1000 points gets you a 10% and 2000 points gets you the 15%
(I still have my email for my last coupon)
Between the high grade cat and dog food, kitty litter and new treats and toys every weekend, our points add up pretty quick, so we usually get the 15% which we save for the next time we have to buy food and litter!
