Anyone like blue/three spot gouramis? Thinking of getting one. Anyone got any pictures?

I had a blue, gold and 2 dwarfs. The blue and gold would attack the dwarfs,I got rid of them and added 2 more dwarfs. The 4 dwarfs get along well, territorial to a point but never attacking each other. Really only get territorial when they are making a bubble nest.

Have any dwarf owners noticed they like to tear up your plants to make their nests? I learned to just let some leaves float on the water top and I'm going to add a small amount of floating type plants so they'll leave my other plants alone, hopefully.

I love them. I had 4 (2m, 2f) along with pearl and ,paradise fish.

I've lost one, but the remaining are behaving nice in a planted tank. i used to have only one fake plant, and the biggest male wouldchase all the others. Added some more tall plants and the agression ended.

cal, I started out with 2 (1 male and 1 female). The male chased the female around so much that he grew to 2 times her size. I read up on them and discovered that this happens often. I went back to the store and bought 2 more females. Life is quieter now and the male (Bill) has been bumped down to #3 in the nipping order. The original female is now in charge of the whole tank and the largest of all of them. (Go, Anna Ida!)

I love them, too. I don't have any difficulty with them in regards to the smaller fishes or the pleco.

Do some research on them, though. My LFS had mine listed as "snakeskin gouramis." When I returned to purchase the second round, the owner didn't much care for me correcting him. You can find loads of pictures if you google them.

yeah they look nice but they kill anything moveing...

Try dwarf neon blues, they look better IMO

Yeah, they are cool! :D

I've had mine for about 7 years, and its the least aggressive fish I have! Its strange that its not more aggressive; in fact, IT gets picked on by other fish. I think the poor thing is starting to get a little popeye though

Now you want a nasty gourami, go for a Kissing Gourami... what a jerk

Kissing gouramies are fun in a species tank.

Remeber every fish has his own personality, and this can even surrender the "normally expected" species behaviour.

Also, you could get a one of a kind giant gourami :joke: :joke:
(If you don't get the joke, don't ask, please...) :joke:
