Anyone like blue/three spot gouramis

I had a blue gourami that used to beat up my firemouth. He was in a tank with a firemouth, a JD and a pictus cat, and help his own quite well.

I loved my blue..she was soo cute. She didn't pick on any of my other fish. The mollies picked on her instead! I like to watch them swim around! I am getting a dwarf gourami this time because a regular blue would be too big for what I am wanting. Mine died though :(..after a LOT of stess and that. They are pretty hardy IMO.

Some 20 years ago I had one that was quite the brute. Eventually he went to an 80 gal with oscars and a severum. As I recall he didn't get nasty until he was larger than 3".

I have 2 blue gouramis and I love them. They are so nice to look at and to watch eat. I have them named (Nero and The Mad Hatter.) When I first got them they always looked like they were mad so that is how they got their names. They are very peaceful and school with my other gouramis. And they are not fussy eaters.

In my 55 G, I had a blue, a gold and a zebra.
The gold was slightly larger than the blue and chased it all over the place almost all the time.
I took it back, and now the zebra and blue are much happier and are in the process (kind of) of establishing who's boss, but they are not in the least aggresive.

i used to have my opaline in the 55 with the green terror and the turquoise severum and the opaline rulled the tank.. now hes in the 29 gallon

I have one blue gourami and he is very territorial and has contributed to the deaths of two of my other gouramis because he is so nasty and beats up on them. However, the doesn't bother smaller fish (tetras, rasboras, danios, etc.) If you really want to get one, I would suggest putting it in a tank with only smaller fish, or not getting one at all. I would recommend dwarf gouramis, though, which are much less aggressive and just as nice looking.
