Anyone see a problem with this?

Give them a day under the tank light and the stems would straighten out.

I got these plants a week ago.. They have already been in my tank for a 7 days and no change at all... 1 stem takes up about 5" in width because of the curve... My tank is only 29 gallons :headshake2: I wanted these plants for a nice background, but now they're just a bunch of arched plant that doesn't look good in the tank... I can trim the smaller ones, but the large red ones are so curved there's no where to cut to make it straight.
I'm finding this impossible to get my tank looking nice :werd:

Another reason I try to only buy from planted tank forums. I've too had the weirdest experiences from e-retailers, but most of it aint really their fault, the large places buy the plants directly from huge nurseries that grow everything emersed, so you have to let the plants grow out a bit and replant tops.

I should have just done that. I have enough going on with my tank to grow out the clipping pretty fast. Would have saved me some money.
Lesson learned :silly:

The potted Crypts I got are nice though..

Those plants look like emersed grown, they will take some time to adjust to submersed growth but the upside is that you didn't get any algae with the plants and likely didn't get any hitchhiker invertabrates.

double post

Thats nothing. Just give it a few more days. Whats the stats on ur tank? Generally a high light, high fert, high co2 will take less time just because more change can happing in such an enviroment.

I just did a major pruning of my tank again today, hopefully I wont have to touch the tank again for another month.
All those plants pictures are trimmed to about 3" :silly:
The Mermaid weed is immersed growth.

Maybe I should bump up my lighting to 6.6wpg to get these plants to grow :evil_lol:

I know that...
