....and can tell me how to say "I would like to buy this" :help:?

I know Russian is actually in Cyrillic letters, but maybe spell it out in English phonetic sounds?

Like I know "Hi" is Привет, but it sounds like "Pree-vi-yet"

I have this Russian phrasebook but it kind of stinks. The way they have the letters "translated" doesn't make any sense to me.

I'm going to Ukraine in May, and while I know some people speak English, I'm going to be traveling around outside of the major cities, and I wanted to be able to speak a few words before I go, so I don't look like this: :hitting:

My name's Russian, are you in any way involved with the Russian Mafia?lol

Haha yeah I tried babel fish, but I have no idea how to pronounce Cyrillic letters...something about some of the letters aren't pronounced they are just there to tell you how to say the rest of the letters... I don't know, it's just really confusing.

No, Yuri, I'm not part of the Russian mafia... if I were part of a mafia, I would be part of the Norwegian Viking mafia.... is there such a thing?

Wish I could help you. Japanese and Latin are as far as I can go. In fact, just about the only thing I knew before hand was that Привет was simply an informal greeting. Besides learning hiragana, katakana, and kanji, the cyrillic alphabet is high on my list of things to learn.
