I got a hydor theo 100 watt at pet smart because my other heater stopped working :swear: Well now this one has a leak and its taking water inside it :swear:
I am thinking of upgrading to a Rena 100 watt heater unit. Is it worth the extra money anyone got a review ?

I use Ebo Jager, Tronics and Stealth. All of them are good. I did have one Ebo failure but that was used bought off someone for $10 and has been used for a while so god knows how old that was.

the only heaters i use is visi therm and ebo. i will only buy visi therms now.... heaters often over looked and i go with ones i trust. the few problems people have had have been quickly fixed by the manufactorer
I agree I just couldnt wait for one to ship we all know how unreasonable they are at petsmart literally double the price. I own atleast 5 stealths and have 4 running currently and love them . Plus I have received great customer service.

As far as I know, the Renas have a good reputation: I almost bought one to attach to the intake of a Rena Smartfilter I was thinking of getting, but changed my mind when Big Al's said they were temporarily out of stock. Perhaps they're selling well?

I have Rena heaters in both my tanks with no problems so far, both tanks are less than a year old though so I can't really speak to longevity. I did get the Rena after another cheap heater failed and almost killed my fish ( well a lot of them).
I like the fact that they have a dial on top with actual numbers so you can shoot for a heat range instead of the + or - things.

Im getting one and it will be hooked up to my canister should help reduce clutter :werd::)

Are you talking about the heater that attaches to your intake tube? If so, I have 2 of them and love them. And it's the only heater that my pleco doesn't burn himself on. I've had both over a year. One is attached to my xp3, the other is just sitting in the 10 gallon because it won't fit on my aquaclear intake.
